About David Soeharto

My name is David Soeharto and I am a qualified acupuncturist & herbalist. I trained at the renowned London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Herbal Medicine (LCTA) in London for five years. The acupuncture degree course is validated by the University of Portsmouth and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). I also work as an acupuncture point location assistant at LCTA.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM), and abide by a code of ethics which maintains high standards of education, discipline and practice.  I am covered by full public indemnity and liability insurance.

I practice a style of acupuncture which is based on the Han-dynasty classics of the Shang Han Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage) and Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essentials of the Golden Cabinet). These two classical books are the foundation of Chinese medicine today. I study continuously with my teacher, Arnaud Versluys, who is one of the few Western scholars to have received his full medical training in China.

Alongside acupuncture I also use Shiatsu (Japanese Bodywork) and Chinese Dietary Therapy in order to help patients regain good health.
